I am a wedding photographer, I live in Aigle, near Lausanne and Geneva, in a beautiful country between the Lake of Geneva and the mountains of the Alps.

For your wedding, there are many wonderful places in Switzerland. If you like mountains, you could go at Zermatt, a typically swiss village, at the feet of the Mount Matterhorn-Cervin (4477 meters). You could take an helicopter to go on a mountain glacier, and realize wedding photographies really originals...

Xavier Plantefol is a professional wedding photographer, graduated from the High School of Applied Arts in Vevey.
This photographer is specialized in natural wedding photography : this approach gives strong images, photos living that "tell" the story of this so special day.

My vision as a wedding photographer :

To achieve high-quality images, three conditions are necessary and essential to me.

First, the background plays an extremely important role. In church work hard to take good pictures! From this point of view, the weather obviously plays a most important role. As in Switzerland, it is impossible to have a guarantee of good weather - even in the summer months - it seems appropriate to provide a photo taken after the couple's wedding day (Love Session or Trash the Dress in English).

Second, the subject being photographed: in this case the newlyweds! Indeed, even the best photographer in the world can not produce good pictures if the person photographed is tense, if it has a tense smile or is under the influence of negative emotion. Exception of small children, and people who work as professional model, the vast majority of people can not take the pose while remaining natural and relaxed and for this reason I prefer photo shoots unasked.

And thirdly, the photographer. It must of course fully aware of the basics of photography as the rules relating to the framing, exposure and control the depth of field. It must be able to work in varied lighting conditions: low light inside churches, moving subjects, mixed light outdoor artificial lights of the dance floor, etc.. The high-end hardware and a perfect mastery of the technical aspects are essential. And as wedding photography takes place under conditions of a story - that have nothing to do and even opposite conditions of a studio photo - the photographer must have a certain intuition, feeling what especially important moments and have a quality of attention to the visual level.
